What is Estate Shield?

Estate Shield is a durable, scratch & chip-resistant Rigid Thermofoil finish.


Where can I get replacement parts or touch-up materials for my cabinetry?

How long will it take to get replacement parts?

We do our best to fulfill replacement parts as quickly as possible. Most requests are processed within 24 hours and delivered within 3-4 business days.


Can I get replacement parts from the store?

Your local retailer does not keep replacement parts. We can provide you with the parts you need. Simply contact our Customer Service Center via e-mail at CustServ@rsihomeproducts.com or phone at (888) 774-8062, Monday-Friday, 6am-4pm PST.


How deep are the drawers on the Closet Drawer Kits?

The 16-in Drawer Kit features drawers measuring 13.5-in D x 12.3-in W x 6.25-in H. The 25-in Drawer Kit features drawers measuring 13.5-in D x 20.75-in W x 6.25-in H.


Are the Closet Rods adjustable?

They are not adjustable, but they may be cut to size.


Do I have to anchor my products to the wall?

Yes. The cabinet MUST be securely attached to the wall for safety and to be eligible for warranty. Failure to properly secure the cabinet to the wall can result in serious injury or death. Wall anchors are sold separately.


I cannot find two studs for the Qwik Hang® rail. What do I do now?

If no studs are available, or if the wall is made without studs, secure the cabinet to the wall using an alternative hardware that is best suited for your wall type, e.g.

  • DRYWALL: Drill holes and secure to the wall with toggle bolts.
  • CONCRETE: Drill 1/4-inch holes, insert #10 wall anchors and secure to wall with #10 x 3" screws.
Please note: the fastening solutions described here are recommendations only, and are based on commonly used installations. Each installer must evaluate the specific characteristics of the particular wall on which the cabinets are to be installed to ensure the proper fastening solution is used and the product is fastened safely and securely. This may require hardware or fastening methods which are different from, or additional to, what is described here.


My drawer isn't closing all the way. How can I fix it?

Can I get a replacement instruction manual?

I thought I assembled my product correctly, but it collapsed. What do I do now?

Please contact our Customer Service Center via e-mail at CustServ@rsihomeproducts.com or phone at (888) 774-8062, Monday-Friday, 6am-4pm PST. They can provide replacement parts as well as information on the best way to build the cabinet. You may also return the cabinet to the store, along with the original receipt, for a refund or exchange.


Can I use these products in the bathroom?

Estate cabinets are designed for use in a variety of rooms in the house, including the bathroom. They may be used anywhere there is a dry floor space.


Do you offer other finishes besides those listed on the site?

At this time, Estate Storage & Closet cabinets are only available in the finishes shown.


Why is the hole not drilled for the knobs?

This allows you the option of personalizing your cabinets with unique hardware.


Why is there a gap between the doors?

A quarter-inch gap between the doors is standard. Watch our Adjusting Door Hinges video to see how to make adjustments.


Can these cabinets be painted?

The panel surfaces of this cabinet are covered with a laminate, and the door surfaces are covered in Rigid Thermofoil (RTF). These surfaces are not designed to be repainted.


Can I buy these products assembled?

Estate cabinets come unassembled and require installation. Check with your local Lowe's store to see if they offer installation services.
